EVC Global Ministries offers many short-term missions opportunities throughout the year.
Short-term mission trips are lead by church members and are a great opportunity for anyone to work in other
countries or to minister in the inner cities of our own communities to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to all.
Short-term missions opportunities are open to students as well as adults. Below are some examples of these.

On June 12-26, 2008 EVC sent a short term mission team to Ethiopia. During the trip we had the opportunity
to meet and minister with serveral missionaries and organizations that we currently support. The beginning of the trip
included visits to Hope Enterprises and Dr. Minas Hurey where we had opportunity to meet and serve lunch to the
children in the Hope school and feeding center in Addis Ababa and visit the adult learning center.
Next, we engaged in
mininstry with Addis Kidan Baptist Church working with HIV+ mothers and their children. During the week our team
visited 28 homes in the slums of these families bringing food, rent money, love and prayer. We worshiped with them and
presented a morning children's program. These home visits changed us for life.
The final week of our visit we partnered with the
Horn of Africa Mission to enter into the Great Rift Valley and visit two Muslim tribal villages where we had the opportunity to present
the gospel to the
children and to the people. God is doing an amazing thing in Africa and the church is growing quickly.

 Thirty team members from EVC went to Tijuana in June of 2007 to minister to the people and help build Christ’s church. During the trip, the team members put in long hours of loving service. We joined together to help complete construction on the bible college we had begun the previous summer. We were able to go into the poor neighborhoods of Tijuana and invite children to come to our afternoon VBS that our team members offered each day. During the VBS time children were fed lunch, played soccer, did crafts, heard the gospel of Jesus Christ claimed and participated in worship together. The team joined together with the local church to invite neighbors to come and worship together and hear from God’s word each evening. Eternal relationships were built with these children and with this church in Tijuana. Highlights of the trip included late night tacos at the nearby street stand, a trip to Rosirita beach on our final day and a powerful time of sharing with one another of how God was working in our hearts that night followed by a great time of worship together as we prayed together out over the lights of the city from the hillside. God moved in each life in a powerful way and thirty people returned from Tijuana changed forever.
